Purpose of the position
Leading a team of engineers and technicians to optimize production process, improve product quality, and ensure efficient manufacturing operations. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, resolve technical challenges, and align manufacturing strategies with organizational goals.

 
Duties and Responsibilities          

  1. Project Planning & Execution

  2. Technical Integration

    • Translate specs into production workflows; resolve process/equipment issues.

  3. Process Optimization

    • Analyze bottlenecks and drive improvements (automation, Lean/Six Sigma).

    • Maintain technical documents and conduct knowledge transfer.

  4. Resource & Cost Control

    • Monitor project costs and provide data-driven insights for decisions.

  5. Quality Assurance & Problem Solving

    • Lead root-cause analysis (8D) and drive corrective actions.

    • Address customer feedback and coordinate improvements.

  6. Project Closure

    • Coordinate lessons learned, client acceptance, and handover.

    • Compile post-project reviews and wish lists.

  7. Innovation & Partnerships

    • Evaluate new technologies and collaborate with F1 partners (TPM/Ops/NPO/AME) for R&D.

  8. PRQ/CR Management

    • Schedule, report, and execute in MP phase.

  9. MP Phase Operations

    • xVT issue tracking and improvement.

    • Review assembly/packing tooling, layout/process/HC.

    • Line readiness and audit.

    • UPH bring-up planning.

    • Coordinate build issue resolution.

    • Yield/MIL reporting.

    • FACA coordination and driving.

  10. Define scope, specs, and timelines with cross-functional teams.

  11. Allocate resources to meet budget and deadlines.

  12. Build schedules (Gantt/CPM) and track milestones.

  13. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.


Work experience:
1. Industry Experience
  • 3–5 years in electronics manufacturing (line upgrades, tech transfers).
  • Familiar with assembly, testing, packaging processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with R&D, production, quality, supply chain.
2. Project Management
  • Led 2–3+ technical projects with measurable outcomes.
  • Proficient in MS Project/Jira/Trello/Asana; PMBOK/Agile methodologies.
  • Proven risk identification and mitigation planning.
3. Technical Skills
  • Manufacturing engineering: ATE, AOI, robotics, line layout, OEE optimization.
  • Data analysis: Excel, Python, SQL, BI tools for decision support.

  2. Cross-functional communication and collaboration.
  3. Results-driven with a focus on process optimization and problem-solving.
  4. Language Fluent in English, Mandarin is a plus.

Working conditions

  • Office-based role, fast-paced work environment
  • This position must be able to respond to after-hour emergencies and be available to work non-core hours or overtime to complete various projects without interruption to operations.
